Area—a hierarchical listing of phases,
modules, module deliverables, tasks, and task deliverables
- Deliverables
Hierarchy—a hierarchical listing
of module deliverables and task deliverables
- Tools—an
alphabetical listing of tools

- Roles—an
alphabetical listing of roles
For each view, you can choose a version organized at the top level
by phase or by thread.
Using the method map
The method map shows the phases
and threads in the method. Depending on the selected view, you
can click on a phase name, a thread name, or the graphical area where
a phase and a thread intersect.
When you click on the method map, two things happen:
- Cursor
focus in the method tree moves to the corresponding node
- The
document for that node is displayed on the right side of the screen
You can hide the method map completely by clicking the collapse button
(
)
at the top right corner of the method map. To redisplay it, click the
expand button (
).
Using the method tree
The method tree shows a hierarchical
list of items in the selected view. It presents hierarchies in a Windows-type
explorer.
- Inside
the tree, you can use the plus (
)
and minus (
)
signs to expand and collapse individual nodes.
- To collapse
the entire tree, click the collapse all button (
)
above the top right corner of the tree.
